Overview
This project involved the structural evaluation and retrofit of an existing building on the West Texas A&M campus in Canyon, TX. The work required assessing the current structural condition, identifying deficiencies relative to current building codes, and designing targeted strengthening solutions that could be implemented while minimizing disruption to campus operations.
My Role
- Evaluated existing structural conditions through field investigations and analysis of as-built documents.
- Designed retrofit solutions for the existing structural systems to meet current code requirements.
- Produced structural drawings and specifications for the retrofit scope.
- Coordinated with the university and design team to phase construction around academic schedules.
